I survided - but I wonder how they do

BY IGNAT IVANOV
President of Mission Possible

I just came back from a trip to Russia. During the two weeks of travel, the temperature kept at -31-49F. (-30-45C)

People ask me how I survived the trip - but I have to ask myself how the people who live there survive, and how the homeless children survive!

I saw many of them when participating in one of Mission Possible’s regular street patrol outings at -49. Hot soup, bread and tea - some hope for today.

We cannot help all people, but we can reach at least some and touch their lives in critical moments - and when doing this we often see God change their destinies!

Thank you that we can do this together!

“Max, Max!” - we call in the darkness of the night.

After a while, a boy like a ghoast crawls out of the heating pipe tunnel. “Hi! You came!”

We hand him quickly his soup, bread and tea. He again hides in the tunnel. It is -49F outside.

We quickly sit in the patrol car to warm our frozen feet.
